How to bet

Once you’ve visited our Esports Hub and found an event you like, you’re ready to make your selection(s).

There are lots of bet types to choose from, which you can read more about below, but there are three key things to consider:

  1. Reviewing the odds and available bets well before placing a bet.
  2. Make your choice by selecting the market you like the look of.
  3. Enter your stake and review the market in your bet slip to ensure you’re happy with it and the odds before confirming by clicking ‘Confirm X Bet’. This can be either a Single or Multiple (Accumulator or Parlay).

Once that’s all done, you can sit back and keep up to date with what’s happening to see if you win or not! Any bets placed or open bets on your account can be tracked through the ‘My Bets’ section on your account.

And with multi-view, you can keep a close eye on multiple matches at the same time if you have multiple bets you want to track! You're also able to view results on the tab next to ‘Matches’ and ‘Futures’ when viewing odds for a specific event or tournament.

Types of esports markets to bet on

Outright

The simplest and most common type of bets on esports., You’re betting on an outright winner or a single easily defined condition such as a match or tournament winner.

Money Line

This is basically the same as an outright bet. You’re betting on which team will win without a point spread of any other conditions on your bet. You don’t need to be confused if this term is used in its place.

Tournament Winner

These outright bets are hugely popular as they can be made at any time, even well in advance of top competitions like The International, DreamHack or the Intel Extreme Masters. This is simply betting on the outright winner of an event. So, if you believe a team is going to win, you place this bet. Often the odds are the best furthest out from the event but they will change as news and line-up changes are announced, with form also coming into play.

Match Winner

These bets can be made before the event begins, but they are also the most common kind of bet that you will find to bet on whilst a match is ongoing. Match winner odds change quite quickly as a game is in progress. If you can keep an eye on the live betting odds changes, then you could get a more favourable price at the right moment.

Map Winner

Map Winner is a standard bet type, especially when betting on CS2, League of Legends, and Dota 2 events. The betting option requires predicting which team will win a specified map.

First Blood / Kill

Among the most popular esports bets you can place in a bookie is First Blood/Kill in CS2, Dota 2 or Call of Duty for example. That means predicting which team will either draw the first blood or make the initial kill… as it says on the tin really!

Total Kills

Total Kills is a betting option that requires you to predict the number of kills made in a particular match. Similar to Total Maps played, Total Kills takes the Over/Under format.
